Sophomore quarterback Vaiaulu Toles threw five touchdown passes and ran for two more scores as Putnam City North routed Lawton Eisenhower 63-7 on Friday, Oct. 9, at Panther Stadium.

The win snapped a five-game losing streak and gave the Panthers (1-5, 1-1 in 6A-II-1) their first victory of the season. It was the program's highest point total since a school-record 70-0 shutout of Capitol Hill on Oct. 11, 2024, according to West Metro Sports.

Toles got the start after junior quarterback Owen McMahan entered concussion protocol following PC North's overtime loss to Putnam City on Oct. 2. He responded with 253 passing yards and touchdowns to five different receivers, according to West Metro Sports.

The Eagles (0-7, 0-3) cut the lead to 13-7 in the first quarter when Moreland returned a blocked punt 15 yards for a score. PC North answered with 50 unanswered points the rest of the way.

A play in the second quarter showed Toles's poise. He bobbled a high snap, corralled the ball with defenders closing in, then threw off his back foot to loft a 16-yard completion to sophomore Rhylen Harris. That drive ended with Toles's 4-yard touchdown run, pushing the lead to 21-7.

Senior Gavin Davis caught a 58-yard touchdown pass later in the quarter, hauling in the ball at the 38-yard line and breaking a tackle to reach the end zone. Junior Zak Pettie added a 45-yard scoring catch in the first quarter.

Lockart told West Metro Sports he challenged his players at halftime to finish the game the right way.

"They really came out a little bit more dialed in, a little bit more intense, more focused, less penalties, staying together, and the end result is we looked a lot better in the second half," Lockart said.

The Panthers scored five times after the break. The defense added an interception that set up a touchdown and a 35-yard fumble return by Antwan Berry. PC North committed just one penalty in the second half.

Junior Jasiah Davis, who moved to PC North from Deer Creek this season according to Lockart, led the ground game with 108 yards on 20 carries and a 1-yard touchdown run. The Panthers rushed for 190 yards total, with 127 coming after halftime.

Lockart said Davis is learning when to cut and when to hit the hole, and that his improvement is changing the offense's look.

Lockart also highlighted his young offensive line, including sophomore tackle Cooper Sharp and sophomore guard Demetrionte Bruner, as part of his second-year rebuild. The Panthers went 2-9 in 2025 but earned a playoff berth.

PC North faces a quick turnaround, traveling to district-leading Choctaw (5-2, 3-0) on Thursday, Oct. 15, for a 7 p.m. kickoff. The Yellowjackets, 2024 state champions and 2025 state runner-up per West Metro Sports, beat Piedmont 45-30 on Friday, Oct. 9.
