The 18th Annual Moore War Run kicks off at 7:30 a.m. Aug. 29 at the front of Moore High School, with every dollar raised going toward senior scholarships for graduating students at Moore High School and Westmoore High School.
The annual 5K has raised nearly $180,000 for student support since its founding, according to a Moore Public Schools post on X. Scholarships are awarded each May to seniors at both schools, and the race also supports events for the Moore and Westmoore Alumni Associations.
Moore Public Schools described the race as one of the largest events in the district's community, noting it draws hundreds of runners and spectators each year. Organizers are actively seeking sponsors for the 2026 edition and encouraging new runners to sign up.
Registration is open to everyone. Runners can sign up at MooreWarRun.com, where businesses and community members interested in sponsoring the event can also find details about how to get involved with the race that has become a fixture of the Moore school community over nearly two decades.
