Oklahoma County sheriff's deputies arrested a 52-year-old man in Edmond on charges of manufacturing child sexual abuse material and lewd molestation after a Tulsa County investigation led to a home in the city.

Casey Lynn Adkerson was taken into custody Sept. 9 on a warrant, KOKH Fox 25 reported. He faces one count of manufacturing child sexual abuse material and three counts of lewd molestation.

The charges stem from alleged offenses in April 2021, according to court records cited by KRMG.

How the investigation unfolded

The Tulsa County Sheriff's Office was conducting a child sexual abuse investigation that led investigators to a home in Edmond on Sept. 4, according to the agency. The Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office assisted with the operation.

Investigators served a search warrant at the home where Adkerson was staying. A review of electronic devices at the residence allegedly turned up child sexual abuse material, the Tulsa County Sheriff's Office said, according to News On 6.

Five days passed between the Sept. 4 search and Adkerson's Sept. 9 arrest. An Oklahoma County jail booking record listed his initial charge as "Fugitive From Justice / Wanted Person," indicating the warrant originated in Tulsa County.
