Carl Albert shut out Durant 49-0 on Friday, Oct. 9, pushing the Titans' winning streak to 60 games and their season record to 7-0.
The Titans hold the nation’s longest active winning streak in 11-man high school football, according to MaxPreps. The Titans won their 20th state championship last season, according to the station.
Friday's 49-0 homecoming win was the first meeting between Carl Albert and Durant since 2009, according to Moore Athletics' preseason records. Durant's last win over the Titans came in 1984.
Head coach Mike Dunn, the 2024-25 OSSAA Overall Coach of the Year for Football, is in his sixth season leading the program. The Titans' 59th consecutive win on Oct. 2, a 41-6 victory over Noble, broke Bixby's Oklahoma 11-man record of 58. Dunn told the Midwest City Beacon on Oct. 7 that his players never flinched under the pressure of the streak.
"I think if we lined up against the Dallas Cowboys, they'd be ready to go," Dunn said. "They're always ready to win when they step out here on the field."
The Titans have outscored opponents 90-6 over their last two games. Against Noble, quarterback Anderson Collier completed 15 of 19 passes for 194 yards and a touchdown. Running back Delijah Matthews scored on a 30-yard run in his first game back from injury. Dustin Anderson returned a kickoff 90 yards for a touchdown.
Matthews, the reigning Oklahoma Gatorade Player of the Year, piled up 48 touchdowns and 2,033 rushing yards during Carl Albert's 14-0 championship run in 2025, according to the team's preseason preview. He had 14 Division I offers entering the season.
Collier threw for 2,248 yards and 25 touchdowns with no interceptions last season.
On defense, the Titans returned seven starters this fall from a unit Dunn described in July as "very stingy" over the previous three seasons. Senior linebacker Darion Thomas recorded 127 tackles and 11 tackles for loss in 2025. Senior defensive end Joe Thomas, a three-year starter, posted six sacks.
Only two Oklahoma programs have recorded longer overall winning streaks: Shattuck with 93 and Morrison with 90, both eight-man programs.
