A box truck collided with an Oklahoma City police patrol unit early Tuesday, Sept. 15, sending two officers to a hospital in southwest Oklahoma City.

The crash happened at approximately 12:13 a.m. near SW 46th Street and South Western Avenue, according to the Oklahoma City Police Department. KOCO 5 first reported the collision Tuesday morning.

Both officers were riding in the same patrol unit. The department said they were taken to a hospital to be evaluated but has not released details on their conditions.

The box truck driver was not injured.

All four lanes of Western Avenue near SW 46th Street were closed while officers worked the scene. The department has not released information about what caused the collision.
